NEWS: 3DS Launch Lineup Worth the Wait

The 3DS' Japanese launch lineup has been revealed. But are the games featured enough to make this one worth camping out for?

Professor Layton is a game i love to death. it's strong visuals and storytelling habits make it a professionally sound game, that plays well in both the game play aspects and the storytelling aspects. No, you didn't just stumble into my review of the game, i promise this article is still about the 3DS, and its (disappointing) Japanese software launch lineup. As it stands the games being released upon the same day of the system are:

Winning Eleven 3DS Soccer - Feb. 26
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition - Feb. 26
Samurai Warriors: Chronicle - Feb. 26
Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D - Feb. 26
nintendogs + cats - Feb. 26
Ridge Racer 3D - Feb. 26
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D - Feb. 26
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle - Feb. 26

The American lineup could be different, and i doubt that all of these games will be released in America. since I'm not a big fan of sports games, and i already own Street Fighter 4 on my Xbox, PS3, and Ipod, the lineup is telling me to stay away from the 3DS until better software is made available. Still that Professor Layton game sounds like something I'd buy it for, but at the moment nothing is rushing me to buy the system. And so, with this weak lineup, i think I'll wait until the bigger releases.
